Matured in carefully selected European oak casks with Oloroso sherry, as well as a balanced blend of American oak casks, this 22-year-old still pays tribute to Bowmore’s enduring quality standards. A tribute to Bowmore’s strong and enduring character, this malt is double aged in specially selected European oak casks with Oloroso Sherry and a full blend of American hogsheads. Strength and depth come together, as sweetness and acridity combine to create a confluence of rich and complex flavors.

TASTING NOTES:

COLOR:
Red brown

AROMA:
Rich and sweet, with initial notes of lemon zest, crushed peaches and vanilla, giving way to a gentle tone of treacle, salty toffee, old oak, roasted chestnuts and soft leather.

PALATE:
Rich and sharp. Sherry, complex and nutty in character, with hints of cocoa beans, mixed with sun-dried grapes, muscovado sugar, red fruits and an elegant layer of peat smoke.

AFTER:
Long and sweet with lingering oak spice and sea salt.
