Which One is the Perfect Car for Your Family?

The Jogger is a newcomer to the Dacia family car lineup, boasting a towering 4.55-meter height and an elevated station design. It comes in two variations – a 5-seater and 7-seater configuration, for a supplementary cost of €750.

In this video comparison, we pit the Jogger against the Duster to determine which Dacia model is more suited for families. Despite being 20 cm shorter than the Jogger, the Duster is still a spacious SUV with all-wheel drive capabilities. Interestingly, the two cars share the same petrol-LPG engine.

It is not until one has entered the board that the vast structural lacuna becomes apparent. The Jogger derives an advantage from the fresh dashboard of the “Dacia,” which is also obtainable on the Sandero. The latter is more refined, draped in fabric, and exhibits a sophisticated blueprint for emerging technologies, including a smartphone cradle with a USB port or a touchscreen interface. However, it is upon realizing this correspondence that one becomes cognizant of the fact that Dacia is undertaking a second adaptation of the Duster, which will ameliorate some of these shortcomings pertaining to the modified interior.

Actions: The invincible jogger

Looking at the situation practically, Jogger has achieved a KO victory. This is because it is available in 7 different locations, something which Duster cannot boast of. When comparing 5-seater versions, Jogger manages to widen the gap. Its long wheelbase allows it to provide an impressive amount of leg and head space for passengers at the back.

Furthermore, it also comes with a folding bench seat, a trunk with an XXL volume, and a standard Jogger roof truss. This is definitely a practical knockout.

In addition, it boasts a record volume of 708 liters as a base, along with some practical features such as a standard roof and rear seats that can be folded into the portfolio, which are not available for Duster. Both cars have their spare wheel housing under the floor, but the presence of an LPG cylinder gives Jogger an edge.

Be cautious, as the Duster possesses no inferiority with regards to trunk space, despite being 20 centimeters smaller (478 liters). However, its practicality is not fully optimized, as only the rear seats can be adjusted.

The primary factor in Dacia’s operations is its budget. Despite recent price hikes across their entire range, they still remain highly competitive. The Duster (priced at €18,300 in the Comfort finish) boasts a profit of €800 over the other vehicle.

Both cars share a similar two-fuel engine, with equivalent consumption rates of around 6 l/100 km in gasoline and 7.5 l/100 km in LPG. Maintenance costs and frequencies are also identical, as is their warranty: 3 years with unlimited mileage. A slight budgetary edge is in favor of a Duster loan.

Price/device ratio: The most sophisticated jogger

At a lofty price tag of €800, the Jogger makes up for its premium status with luxurious amenities that outclass the Duster, including a standard rooftop terrace, collapsible seatbacks in a folio, and an Android Carplay connection with wires. For an added touch, colored rear windows are included. When evaluating value, the Jogger boasts the highest price-to-feature ratio.

As of late, the Dacia lineup has undergone a change in classification since our analysis. The “Comfort” option has been swapped out for the “Exhibition” package.
