“We still have a chance to beat Alfa Romeo”

Lance Stroll thinks they still have a chance to beat Alfa Romeo, but he also knows they need luck to do so.

Unable to start this season, Aston Martin has gone just four races without points since Emilia Romagna and has collected 25 points in the last five races.

In this way, they quickly closed the gap with Ala Romeo and joined the fight for the sixth place in the championship.

With one race remaining, the difference in points between the two teams is only five. Lance Stroll, who finished 10th in Brazil and scored one point, said after the race: “It was an eventful race and we hit the points threshold towards the end.”

“At the beginning of the race we were not very fast, we were very slow on the medium tire, but towards the end we had a lot of speed on the soft tire because the balance was better.

“So we’re happy to get the points. It’s good to get the points after a tough weekend.”

“Still, it’s a shame that Alpha also got a few points because we’re in a very close fight with them for fourth place.”

“I think it’s still possible to beat them. We just need a good race in Abu Dhabi, maybe with a bit of luck we can score with both cars.”

“It will be difficult to beat them but we will strive for that next weekend.”

Valtteri Bottas scored two points in the Brazilian GP, with his signature 49 of the 55 points the team has collected. In Aston Martin, Sebastian Vettel got 36 points, while Stroll collected 14 points.
