JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati has budgeted for the purchase of electric service vehicles that use batteries for Public Servants (PNS) classes I and II.
This allocation is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) Number 49 of 2023 regarding the Levels of Input Costs for the Financial Year 2024, as an effort to accelerate the use of electric vehicles as a means of transportation.
In the regulation, the limit for the purchase of electric vehicles for echelon I officials in the country is a maximum of Rp. 966,804,000 and Rp. 746,110,000 for estelon II.

This amount does not include the cost of shipping and packing the payment, as well as the cost of obtaining a vehicle registration certificate (STNK).
So with that budget, what kind of electric cars can the 1st echelon leaders buy?
Collected from various four-wheeler manufacturers that sell battery-based electric vehicles, there are at least two models of vehicles to choose from, the most advanced of which are the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Nissan Leaf.
The reason is that, in May 2023 Ioniq 5 Signature Long as the top model is sold at IDR 859 million. If you want to be under it, namely Ioniq 5 Prime Long Range, it is sold at IDR 789 million.
As for the Nissan Leaf, it is priced at IDR 728 million and IDR 730 million for the two-tone variant.
If there is a special offer, maybe Mini Electric and Toyota bZ4X can be the official cars of 1 echelon civil servants in Indonesia. Remember, each car is offered at a price of IDR 1.05 billion and IDR 1.190 billion.
