A BILLIONAIRE known as an auto industry magnate has left a lasting mark on the car dealership scene despite his unique personality.
Terry Taylor, 74 years old, is a well-known businessman in the company of of cars industry and founder of Automotive Management Services Inc (AMSI), which manages more than 120 dealerships across the United States.
The mogul had never sat down for an interview before this year.
“He’s like Batman,” a source told us Forbes the reporter he had been trying to reach for weeks.
“You hear about him and admire his work, but no one has ever seen him in real life.”
An entrepreneur is rarely seen in public and is known to be difficult to find.
“I know you’ve contacted basically everyone I know,” he told a Forbes reporter.
“So, I guess it’s time to hear from me.”
The mogul’s net worth is estimated at $1.9 billion, according to Forbes.
Most of it money it is said to be involved in an estimated 75 percent of its shares in AMSI.
Taylor’s business model encourages ownership by giving the general manager of the business an equity stake that fosters a sense of dedication and commitment.
The entrepreneur owns businesses in many states, including Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Tennesseeand Texas.
The brands he manages include famous brands like Acura, Infinity, Jaguar, Lexus, and Toyota.
In addition to his car ventures, Taylor owns several yachts.
His empire even includes the Automotive Advertising Group.
The group provides extensive support to the businesses it owns in their marketing and sales plans.
AMSI is currently the fourth largest trade group in the United States
The car group aims to expand to more than 200 businesses.
