Every car that Bugatti makes marks an era. The saga started by the Veyron and continued by the Chiron has already prepared its next step: The company’s next hypercar is completewill be presented to the world in 2024 and will be launched on the market in 2026.
Your architect, Achim Anscheidt, who is retiring after 19 years with the company, has spoken to Motor vehicle, to give the first description of the model, which will seek to find a balance between continuing with its predecessors in some aspects, but will represent a general break in others.
The first should be expected in the design, which will be new, but it will have points of connection with Chiron, in the same way that this one had with the Veyron. Anscheidt said: “We know every inch of our cars so well that we know exactly where (the change) would help us and where it would cause a problem.”
A conservative approach is also expected in the interior of the hypercar, where first there will be no major changes and you will get that cabin it will be known and it will be similar to what was seen in the end Bugatti.
Major changes at the mechanical level
The opposite direction has been taken in the mechanical aspect of the car. The brand will say goodbye to what is surely its most characteristic feature engine W16.
Due to the evolution of the industry, the company has ended up accepting the current trend and will include it for the first time electricity. Not many details have been revealed, but it is known that it will use a hybrid hybrid system whose heart will be a V8 petrol engine, half of what brand was used. To this will be added an unknown power supply.
This, along with good results in terms of consumption and pollution production, will also make it lighter. Furthermore, due to the new mechanical configuration, a new chassis from scratch.
Anscheidt has indicated that the car is complete. “We delivered a development prototype a few months ago and production tools will be delivered within a few months,” he says.
However, it will not be officially announced until 2024 and we will have to wait another two years for it to be available. Its price has not been confirmed, but it is speculated that the figure may more than five million euros.
