Tesla plans to build the car in a factory near Berlin for a price of about PLN 25,000. euros, ie about 110 thousand. zlotys. This is good news for many electric car enthusiasts, but worse news for the competition.

Reuters reports this news. According to the organization, the creation of an electric car, even cheaper than the Model 3, will be possible thanks to the new, innovative bodywork technology. It is releasing pressure, thanks to which almost the entire structure is one element. This will undoubtedly reduce production costs.

Such a move is not surprising, as competition in the small electric car segment is already growing. In addition to the Dacia Spring, the Citroen e-C3 will soon hit the streets and could be popular. Volkswagen also announced a car priced at around PLN 25,000. euros.

Tesla should also enter this segment to take a piece of the market. It is cars like this that can be sold more in Europe, where electric cars are more expensive than combustion cars and more expensive than in other regions of the world. In fact, introducing a small car could be a bull’s-eye for Tesla itself – customers like these cars, which is evident from the sales of the larger model. A cheaper model could make Tesla uncompetitive in the market.

The car will be made in Germany, and unofficially it is said that Elon Musk announced the production of such a car while visiting the factory there. Unfortunately, the official position is unknown.
