Under Stellantis’ Dare Forward initiative, Maserati will become an electric brand by 2030, meaning the Levante should be an electric SUV with 755 hp. Other models from the trident brand will accompany this electrifying journey.
Maserati is in the process of transforming itself into an electric car brand by the end of this decade, fulfilling the strategy outlined by Stellantis in the Dare Forward 2030 plan. maserati will receive the name Folgore and the first will arrive this year.
Maserati’s first wave of electric versions will be completed in 2025 with the Levante Folgore, which will join the Grecale, GranTurismo, GranCabrio and MC20 models. The Ghibli will be discontinued by 2024 along with the brand’s V8 block.
The latest news from then suggests that the top-of-the-range SUV will be electric in the next generation, replacing the combustion engine with an electric one.

Three electric motors with 755 hp
It is still unclear if the Levante will be electric only in its new generation, as it will use a modified version of Alfa Romeo’s Giorgio platform, which will also underpin the Grecale and GranTurismo. Both the crossover and the coupé will have combustion and electric versions, with the latter expected to arrive this year.

With or without the combustion engine, Autocar adds that the Levante Folgore will have a low power version of the power with three electric motors from the GranTurismo and everything indicates that the power will be 555 kW (755 hp).
GranTurismo Folgore, which was already revealed last year, will have a configuration of three electric motors with a combined output of 895 kW (1200 hp), allowing the gran tourer to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.7 seconds.
