The flagship models Lexus LC in the 2024 edition have undergone several changes and improvements. Their result is the quality of the cabin, more driving comfort and driving pleasure. The striking look will be available in a special edition called the Ultimate Edition.

The changes were reflected in all five LC model variants – LC 500 Coup and LC 500 Convertible, in both cases with the standard 5.0-liter V8 engine, the Coup Ultimate Edition and the Convertible Ultimate Edition, again with the V8, and the LC 500h Revolution with a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid engine with automatic charging. Production of the LC model in the Final Edition version will end in 2023, all other LC models will begin production in May 2023.

The new LC for the 2024 model year is a new multimedia system with a larger screen, easier to use, an expanded range of functions and faster responses to commands. Instead of a 10-inch touchscreen controlled by a touch pad on the center console, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with nice graphics is used. In terms of easy operation, the screen has moved 86 mm closer to the screen.

The multimedia system is expanded with voice recognition function and on-board assistant “Hey Lexus”, which receives commands from the ideo and the front passenger, even in Estonian. The assistant supports piblin 100 different commands (depending on the model) – for example, controlling the weather, searching the Internet or making a call. The system also allows you to save various user settings for navigation, audio system, position behind the wheel and safety warnings.

Apple CarPlay technology is used to connect a smartphone to a multimedia system with a wire or cable connection, or Android Auto (via cable only). Using the Lexus Link mobile app, it is possible to lock and unlock the two a
adjust the air conditioning or heating before entering the vehicle.

Another functional extension is cloud-based navigation with support for real-time traffic information and information about events on the route for easy route planning and, if necessary, navigation based on the situation. With the “Hey Lexus” assistant with a cloud connection, other important information related to the route is also available, such as eg the price of fuel or the offer of free parking spaces. If the cloud connection is not available, the integrated navigation controlled by the touch screen is available.

Thanks to the remote touchpad for multimedia, many switches on the central console are arranged in one plane for easy use. The console part is also an aluminum circuit control of the audio system (complete with touch control elements), located near the driver and passenger. In the back of the center console, we can find a 12V socket for accessories, a USB-C port for charging devices and a USB-A port for playing a high-quality audio source.

Speakers in the back seats of the rear seats and on the sides of the instrument panel have been modified for the purpose of playing audio in high resolution. Part of the basic equipment is the Mark Levinson Surround Sound system with 13 speakers, the quality of which is comparable to home audio systems.

For the cabins of the LC Convertible and LC Coupé, a two-color scheme in a combination of blue and white is now available, expressing elegance and spaciousness, or a straight dark color scheme to evoke a sporty mood. The blue and white color scheme includes blue accents on the steering wheel, gear lever knob, in the lower part of the door panels and on the door panel. The dark red color scheme uses dark black contrast with red interior seats, center console, instrument panel and lower part of the door handle.

A number of other details have also changed in the LC cabins: the passenger side surfaces, made of acrylic material, are now compatible with the aluminum instrument panel; there are new material variants to choose from; and the edge plates of the Sport Package version are now made of lightweight carbon.

Two paint colors are now available for both body versions (Coupé and Convertible). Warm Blue CL (Contrast Layering) is a pure blue color with a sharp contrast between light and shade, adding depth to the beautiful LC bodywork. Brown Sonic Copper is a chromatic shade, where a rich flag tone appears in the sun, which deepens as the light fades.

As part of other changes, the car’s surround-view cameras were built into the rear-view mirror covers of all LC versions as standard. The new shape of the glass covers resulted in less aerodynamic noise and better separation of the air stream for better aerodynamics. New types of forged wheels are now available for all models: 20″ wheels with a shiny metal finish, 21″ wheels with 3D ground surfaces, or 21″ wheels in a combination of black and hyper chrome. of the Lexus Safety System + has been extended to all versions of the LC, it only helps to prevent accidents and improve the perception of the idea of ​​the situation.

The term “classic Lexus drive” first appeared with the LC model, referring to the need for a direct link between the concept and its vehicle. This philosophy has been gradually reflected in the development of all other Lexus models – and again played an important role in the luxurious design of the LC 2024. Recent changes include coil springs of the suspension system, fixed shock absorbers, elements of rear wheel suspension, spring. stabilizer, chassis stabilizers, steering column and fixed steering gear, or wheel bearing hub and wheel mounting. The LC 500h Coupé’s multi-stage hybrid storage lithium-ion battery now uses high-capacity cables for the benefit of this version’s driveability. It can distribute the driving force more quickly, improving response and feedback during acceleration.

The V8-powered LC Coupé and the LC Convertible Ultimate Edition present a glimpse of the exceptional driving power of a specially tuned engine. Hakugin’s white color for the Final Edition impresses with its elegant matte finish. Designers were again inspired by Lexus sports cars, their main representative is the Lexus LFA model. This unique effect – under the top coat with a satin finish – is further enhanced by the contrast of the black body decor. black can be found on the front radiator grille and on the edge, on the edge of the headlight and on the bumper covers, on the bumper decoration and on the exterior mirrors.
