Kia already has a multi-year agreement with Electrify America, which offers free charging to car owners Niro e EV6.
The Electrify America network has 3,729 fast chargers at 859 stations, with more than 100 charging locations along the way. You can use the company’s app, available for iOS and Android, to find the right payment center and view the availability of payment centers in real time. After you’ve used up your free billing amount, you can use the app to pay for more billing sessions. The Kia EV9, a three-row SUV, is available to order now in the US.
The new model comes with a 76.1 kWh battery, with the option for customers to upgrade to a 99.8 kWh battery, giving an estimated range of 304 miles (~489 km) with one engine. The EV has a maximum charging speed of 236kW and the 11kW charger on board supports Level 2 charging; Electrify America’s network consists of 111 Level 2 chargers. The charging network specifies that customers will have the option to charge their car with a rental car. The billing network specifies that customers will have three years from the date of purchase to redeem free billing. Benefits must be activated from the Electrify America app and do not cover additional costs such as inactivity fees.
