FRANKFURT (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – The Kia EV9 has been included in the shortlist of candidates for the final round of the European Car of the Year 2024 (COTY) award. The all-electric SUV was previously among 28 new models launched this year and has now been selected by 59 COTY executives from 22 countries for a shortlist of seven. The overall COTY award winner will be announced on Monday 26 February at the Geneva International Motor Show. Like the award-winning Kia EV6, the Kia EV9, a fully electric SUV, is based on a dedicated E-GMP platform. One of the first seven-seater electric cars on the market, the EV9 offers a spacious cabin and first-class comfort. In terms of autonomy, the EV9 is a great companion for family trips, as it can travel up to 563 kilometers on a single battery charge. Thanks to the 800V technology, the 99.8 kWh battery can recover 249 kilometers of autonomy in just 15 minutes, providing exceptional efficiency for its category. “We are proud to enter, for the third time in a row, on the short list of the Best Car of the Year award in Europe with the Kia EV9. The Kia EV9 follows in the footsteps of the award-winning EV6, the 2022 Car of the Year, demonstrating our desire to establish ourselves as the leading EV brand in the European market,” commented Jason Jeong, President of Kia Europe. photo: Kia Italia press office (ITALPRESS). tvi/com 28-Nov-23 2.16pm
