A Playstation announced last Thursday (11) via The Playstation Blog the beginning of your online competition 2023 World Series for players of Gran Turismo.

Gran Turismo World Series 2023
The Gran Turismo World Series 2023 will begin on Saturday, May 13, with the first round of Nations Cup. Any player with a copy of Gran Turismo 7 can participate by accessing the in-game Game Mode. There, register for the Nations Cup, representing your country or region, and/or Builders Cuprepresenting your favorite construction company.
Unlike previous years, the Nations Cup Online Championship Series will be held consecutively, with Round 7 scheduled for Saturday, June 3. The Builders Cup will begin next, with Round 1 on Wednesday June 7 and the final round on Saturday July 1.
The results of the Online Series will determine which players will be invited to two live 2023 Series events, the World Series Showcase in Amsterdam (August 11 & 12) and the World Finals, which will take place in early December, at a location to be announced.
In 2022, the World Finals in Monaco, Subaru and Toyota tied for points in the Constructors’ Cup, but the trophy was handed to Daniel Solis (USA), Takuma Miyazono (Japan) and Kylian Drumont (France), from Subaru, thanks to their victory in the last race.
The Nations Cup was also fiercely competitive, with points tied at the top. Spaniard and World Series veteran Coque López was the champion, taking the race win after an eventful final lap. Chile’s Angel Inostroza took second place, and Brazilian Igor Fraga, the 2018 world champion, took the last place on the podium.
One change from the 2023 Nations Cup format is that the Challenge and World Finals will be played for teams, like the Constructors’ Cup, with three drivers from the same country competing for the title.
“It’s always great when a new Gran Turismo World Series starts,” commented Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo series producer. “Every year, we see incredible battles between stars we already know, but there are always new talents emerging in the top positions.“
For the first time since the Sydney event in early 2020, fans of the Gran Turismo series will have the opportunity to experience the Gran Turismo World Series live and in person at the Amsterdam Showdown and World Finals event.

The Gran Turismo World Series is open to all players with a PS Plus subscription that includes online rounds through Game Mode in Gran Turismo 7.
