Volkswagen, which has stopped production of the Passat Sedan, which is also very popular in Turkey, will continue with an electric sedan model called the ID.7 instead.

The official unveiling of the Volkswagen.7 will take place on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show. Earlier this year, we saw leaked images of an electric car shared directly by the brand. Now we are faced with pictures from China that completely reveal the exterior design of the electric sedan.

When we look at the design of the electric Volkswagen ID.7, we see that it has common symbols from the ID.Aero, ID.Vizzion and ID.Space Vizzion concepts introduced in previous years. In fact, the version that will be sold in China has the ID.7 Vizzion on the back, but we are not sure if the same wording will be used in other markets such as Europe and the US.

The car generally has a coupe-style four-door body design. The concept versions had a slightly sportier look, but the production version was smoother. For example; The upper part of the front is as we expected, but a simpler T-shaped detail is used on the main part instead of the sporty design in the concept.

From the side, the design is largely the same as the concept version. In this version, the most basic wheels are used, so it looks a bit small, but as you can see in another picture, there are also big and different options for the design of the wheel. In addition, a high shoulder line, hidden door handles, black pillars and chrome detailing along the roofline are among the features that carry over from concept to production.

A new air conditioner concept with smart air outletsoffers many functions. For example, ID.7 can recognize the driver’s approach from the key, and even before the driver gets into the car, it starts to cool the interior on hot summer days and heat the interior on cold winter days.

The newly designed “Smart Air Exits” control the flow of air inside and move dynamically to distribute air over large areas as quickly as possible. These functions can be viewed on the new large screen and can be activated and saved individually for each user. Special applications can be activated using voice commands.
