The Czech Republic has its first Toyota Gazoo Racing Czech team, which will go to the Dakar with a Hilux V8.

Tomáš Ouředníček will drive the Dakar 2024 with a special Hilux GR T1+ in the colors of the Czech Toyota Gazoo Racing team.

Dakar matador Tomáš Ouředníček, who has already appeared eight times at the start of one of the most demanding car races in the world, will leave with sailor David Křípal next year in the colors of the new Toyota Gazoo Racing Czech team. At the same time, it is the first Czech long-distance racing crew under the Toyota Gazoo Racing Czech brand.

The crew will go to the race track with a special Toyota Hilux GR T1+, which is based on a 5.0-liter engine from Lexus with an output of 400 horsepower. The extreme pickup has all-wheel drive, a specially developed and fully adjustable chassis with independent suspension and distributed weight. evenly, which ensures maximum stability on the field.

The car, built in the South African garages of Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa, is similar to Nasser Al-Attiyah’s winning machine from the previous two Dakars. So it is not surprising that Ouředníček wants to compete with him for the leadership positions in Dakar 2024.

During the summer, however, the crew will undergo testing and training, some of which will take place at the race tracks. Tomáš Ouředníček plans to participate in several European races and in October the Rally du Maroc world championship.
