The cheapest cars on the Czech market. Modern Hyundai holds the first place

You cannot buy a new car for less than 200,000 crowns on the Czech market today. You should expect to spend several tens of thousands of crowns on top. Currently, the cheapest new model is the modern small hatchback Hyundai i10, the prices of which were published by the automaker at the beginning of April.

After last year’s price increase, only four models can fit under 300 thousand crowns on the Czech market, which is half less than a year ago.

Customers should shell out at least 279,990 crowns for the cheapest new car at the moment. That’s the base price of the updated Hyundai i10 mini five-door. Although the price is 10,000 higher than before, on the other hand, the facelift brought rich equipment even in the lower equipment levels.

The Hyundai i10 continues to be available with two expected petrol power units – a three-cylinder 1.0i with 67 hp and a four-cylinder 1.2i with 84 hp. The top of the range is the 100 horsepower 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged engine, which is available in the N Line and N Line Style trim levels.

The i10 model comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, in selected trims you can also opt for a five-speed AMT robotic transmission.

For 279,990 crowns (including 40,000 surcharge) you can buy the entry-level basic equipment level, which has 14-inch steel wheels with covers, automatic headlights, cruise control, digital instrument panel with an inch information display 4.2 and a basic set of support systems.

. . . Hyundai already wants 349,990 crowns for the Smart trim level, and the top Model variant starts at 369,990 crowns.

For N Line and N Line Style equipment and sports design elements, you need to prepare 10,000 and 30,000 more, respectively.

The offer always includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and Hyundai benefits, as well as a free set of winter tires.

Mitsubishi also offers a five-year warranty on its affordable Space Star model. It has increased in price since the facelift in 2020 and currently starts at 286,760 crowns for basic equipment without air conditioning and a three-cylinder petrol engine with a volume of 1.2 liters and an output of 71 horsepower.

With air conditioning, it already costs more than 300,000 and in the highest equipment with automatic transmission even more than 400,000.
In the fall, Mitsubishi wants to bring the Colt model back to the market as a new five-door hatchback. However, it should stand above the Sky Star in the model line, and its price is probably not worth less than 300,000.

The basis will be a three-liter gasoline unit with a power of 65 horsepower, connected to a five-speed manual transmission. The highlight of the offer is the hybrid (a device that combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors and a multi-mode automatic transmission, producing 140 horsepower.

Kia Picanto can currently be found on the Czech market for less than 300,000. The Hyundai i10 sibling was overhauled less than three years ago and is available in three trim levels and three powertrains – an updated 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a pair of 1.0-liter and 1.2-liter 67-liter turbocharged units. , respectively 84 horses.

Picanto in basic equipment and weak engine costs 299,980 crowns. For the highest level of equipment and a turbocharged engine, customers will pay more than 410,000.

The last car that can be bought new for less than 300 thousand crowns is the Dacia Sandero. When its second generation came to the market in 2021, it cost from 239,900, now it starts at 296,400 crowns for the basic equipment of white color and a three-liter engine with a power of 65 hp.
