Jakarta (ANTARA) – A V8-powered super tank from the “Fast and Furious” movie series has been auctioned, worth US$242,000 or about Rp.3.6 billion.

According to a report published on the page of the Archive on Saturday, the main tank named Howe and Howe Ripsaw 2009 was sold for only one third of the reported cost of building the engine of the armored car.

The 2009 Howe and Howe Ripsaw tank, used in the eighth “Fast and” Furious movie “The Fate of the Furious”, was sold by Mecum Auctions in Indianapolis, USA, earlier this month.

With no previously listed price, bidding for the unique car was reportedly $242,000 before the end of the auction, excluding auction fees.

The information included in the auction list says that the construction of the tank will cost 750 thousand US dollars or about Rp. 11.2 billion.

The sale of the Ripsaw tank comes less than a month after the exclusive Nissan Skyline GT-R, which was used in the fourth film “Fast and Furious”, was sold for $ 1.18 million ($ 1.18 million) without auction fees.
