The Alfa Romeo Formula One team has announced a partnership with streaming platform Kick.

Agreement:

  • Kick branding will highlight the ‘popularity’ in the work of Alfa Romeo cars
  • An activation program involving drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will be launched in due course.

Context: This marks the second sponsorship in a row for the Swiss team, after securing a three-year ‘AUS$140m’ partnership with online casino brand Stakes.

Results: Kick is a new streaming platform, which just launched in October 2022. Interestingly, this was the same month that Twitch, the world’s largest streaming platform, chose to ban gambling streams on its site. More interestingly, this new streaming site is allegedly owned by Stake, the team’s new sponsor.
