Tesla Cybertruck, the electric car is officially launched. Offers and prices

Tesla has finally begun the first delivery of the long-awaited Cybertruck. At the same time, it has finally The final measurements have been revealed of the new electric pickup. The event specially created by the car manufacturer for the launch of Cybertruck held yesterday evening had high expectations. In fact, it was shorter than expected.

With a little delay, the event began with the arrival of Elon Musk who climbed into the bed of the pickup, calling the Cybertruck Tesla’s best product. Moreover, he emphasized that this new model is more convenient than a pickup and faster than a sports car.

The future will finally look like the future.

The number one Tesla then started talking about other Cybertruck services. For example, The stability of the pickup is higher than that of the McLaren P1. Elon Musk then wanted to emphasize the resistance of the glass. For this, he called the head of design to the stage Franz von Holzhausen who threw a baseball at the crystal that remained intact. Tesla therefore wanted to “play” a little with these small demonstrations. In fact, in 2019, during the presentation of Cybertruck, Franz von Holzhausen threw a metal ball at the windows to show their opposition. The glass, however, cracked.

On a more serious note, the automaker then showed a short clip in which a man uses a machine gun to shoot off the door of a Cybertruck, with the body foaming but not breaking. Elon Musk then talked about other aspects of the electric pickup and then continued with the actual delivery.

If the event was greedy for details, opening the installer allowed us to discover all the secrets of the electric pickup.

The Tesla Cybertruck has a body realized in Stainless Steel Alloy which was designed to be very resistant. Not for nothing, as mentioned earlier, Tesla showed a video in which the bodywork can be seen resisting bullets. Glass, on the other hand, can withstand the impact of a baseball thrown at 112 km/h or a category 4 hailstorm.

The electric pickup can also rely on electronic air suspension and a ground clearance of 432 mm. Versions towing capacity of 4,990 kg and a load of 1,134 kg. The Cybertruck also has a 1,897-litre boot to which 1,530 liters can be added by folding the rear seats. To demonstrate the vehicle’s towing capacity, during the presentation, Elon Musk demonstrated how the Cybertruck can tow a trailer more easily than models such as the Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford F-350.

The electric pickup also has 4-wheel steering and “by wire” steering. The Cybertruck is also a work vehicle. For this reason, we get various 120 V and 240 V sockets to power external electrical devices. In addition, there is a two-way charge that allows you to strengthen the house, if necessary, using energy from the traction battery.

Tesla Cybertruck measurement 5,682 mm long x 2,413 mm wide (including mirrors) x 1,790 mm high. The interior is nothing short of amazing. A minimalist model with a dashboard dominated by an 18.5-inch display. On the back, we get an additional 9.4-inch screen, just like on the Model 3 model.

Tesla’s new electric pickup will be available in three versions. The first provides one electric motor (Rear Wheel Drive), 250 miles of range (402 km) and acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds. We know that this version will arrive in 2025. It will cost $60,990

Then we have the version All Wheel Drive: two electric motors, 600 hp, 340 miles of range (547 km), acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 112 miles per hour (180 km/h ). Price? $79,990.

Finally, Tesla delivers Cybertruck Cyberbeast: 3 electric motors, 845 HP, 320 miles of range (515 km), acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in 2.6 seconds and 130 miles per hour top speed (209 km/h) . How much does it cost? $99,990. AWD and Cyberbeast models will be available in 2024 and both offer the possibility of battery recovery with a peak power of 250 kW in direct current.

To demonstrate the acceleration capabilities of the electric pickup, during the presentation Tesla showed the Cybertruck speeding through a Porsche 911 while pulling a trailer with the 911 on top.

In the technical data sheet he wrote the details. In fact, Tesla is talking about a kind of column extender which will allow the range of the AWD and Cyberbeast models to be extended to, respectively, 470 miles and 440 miles. Initially, Tesla did not explain what it was about.

Later, Elon Musk directly intervened explaining that it is one extra battery which will be placed in the box. However, it is not known when it will be available and how much it will cost.

Along with the launch of the electric car, Tesla has also made a series of accessories available including the tent “BaseCamp” which must be attached to the back of the pickup. There are also mats, ramps for the cargo bed, additional storage boxes, snow chains and much more.
