Service campaign for Citroen, Peugeot, DS Automobiles, Fiat and Opel with diesel engines. One million blueHDi cars are returned to service | French.pl

We remind. The service campaign has been ongoing for several months, with the Stellantis group recalling more than one million Citroën, Peugeot, DS Automobiles and Opel vehicles with the blueHDi engine for service. The reason is the risk of exceeding the emission limit. What cars does the campaign involve?

It happens that the car’s computer may not be able to respond properly to errors in the operation of the pump dosing AdBlue water in the exhaust gases. Faulty tuning can prevent a warning from being displayed on the dashboard if the water pressure is too high and the SCR system is turned off. This system is responsible for reducing nitrogen oxides, harmful compounds emitted by modern engines. Therefore, emission standards may be violated.

The service involves updating the controller software and checking the correct operation of the system, which should not take longer than half an hour – informs the manufacturer. Action is, of course, free. Worldwide, it covers around one million Citroën, Peugeot, DS Automobiles and Opel vehicles with blueHDi engines.

If you have a used car, it is worth checking with the dealer if it is covered by a service campaign. This can be done through the website or by directly contacting the brand’s service centers across the country. The update will protect the SCR system from damage and at the same time update the engine management software to the latest version.

This campaign applies to the latest models with blueHDi engines:
