We made a simulation of the amount of 24 cars that can cost less than R$ 100,000, considering the estimated reduction of 11% to 1%, according to the new rules that the government announced.

In this simulation, we created ranges of R$ 5,000 for the discount, as the government announced that the tax exemption will be greater for cars that cost less and are more efficient and have more interior parts.

This is a preliminary reference, because in this simulation we do not take into account factors such as energy efficiency and the level of nationalization of products; current prices only. In addition, values ​​may drop further with the removal of equipment.

We may see a new price war between car manufacturers and it would not be surprising to see cars that today cost more than R$ 130,000 drop to less than R$ 120,000 with the removal of equipment. It is also important to say that there are cases where a 10% tax reduction does not mean a 10% reduction in prices.
