The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb known to motorsport fans as ‘The Race to the Clouds’ sees competitors take on 12.5 miles of twisting mountain road using terrifyingly named corners such as. The Bottomless PitRagged Edge and Devil’s playground.

We have been driving our cars to the top Pikes Peak inside of Rocky Mountains since the first event was organized back in 1916 – but for the 101 race earlier this year, we decided to go in a completely new direction.

Ford cars have repeatedly left their mark on the International Pikes Peak Climb. Ford Performance and experts in STARD Advanced Research and Development joined forces again to create the SuperVan 4.2 designed specifically to conquer the American mountain and demonstrate high levels of electric power. The SuperVan 4.2 is a mountain-climbing beast that combines 1,400 horsepower of high-tech electric power1, born from three electric motors, with a body inspired by Ford The latest E-Transit Custom car. It’s a crowd-wowing update Ford The Pro Electric SuperVan 4.0 debuted at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but fresh from shedding 880 pounds and supercharged with an improved battery and electric motors. It also has a new aerodynamic design to create two tons of downforce at about 150 miles per hour for maximum cornering grip.
