Porsche Digital GmbH has announced the expansion of its international network to South America by opening an office in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Porsche AG subsidiary will develop and improve digital products and services for its customers in Mexico.
With a new location in Mexico’s second largest city, Porsche Digital now operates ten offices in the international technology centers of Europe, the United States, China and South America.
Mattias Ulbrich, CEO of Porsche Digital GmbH and CEO of Porsche AG, said:
“We are expanding our international teams in an exciting and forward-looking area. This is especially true for the technology talent we want to work with in Guadalajara to develop programs for various markets.
Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco in western Mexico. About 40 percent of Mexico’s economy is concentrated in Jalisco. The metropolitan area of Guadalajara is also known as the ‘Silicon Valley of Mexico’.
With a population of approximately five million people, the metropolitan area of Guadalajara is home to many international technology companies, including various well-known automotive companies.
In Guadalajara, Porsche Digital wants to create a strong team especially in software engineering, focused on software development. This includes digital platform applications such as the My Porsche application and online portals such as Porsche Finder, the search engine for new and used Porsche cars, as well as e-commerce applications and Porsche Center websites.
To serve different markets, the Guadalajara team works closely with the US locations in Palo Alto, California and Atlanta, Georgia.
