DENPASAR, KOMPAS.com Police returned a Lamborghini Aventador with fake license plates to its owner, Russian national Sergei Domogatsky.

The head of Bali Police Public Relations, Kombes Pol Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, said the Lamborghini was returned because the police assessed that there was no criminal element in the car ownership case.

“Because the owner has shown the papers and completed (certificate of car ownership), so it was handed over to the owner through his lawyer, there is no (criminal violation),” he said when contacted on Thursday (27/3/4). /2023).

Satake said that currently the owner Sergei Domogatsky is still applying for a Short Stay Permit Card (KITAS) so that he can pay the luxury car tax of IDR 104 and he owes it for a year.

“(The car tax) is dealt with, he (lawyer) wants to manage it, so he wants to take care of KITAS, the owner and he also wants to take care of the tax,” he said.

Earlier, the police had found a luxury car with a license plate reading “DOMOGATSKY” at a repair shop in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday (7/3/2023).

This luxury car became one of the targets of the Bali Police Traffic Directorate after several photos of it spread on social media.

As a result of the inspection, in addition to using fake plates or unofficial TNKB (Motorized Vehicle Numbers), this car also had one year’s worth of tax arrears worth Rp.104 million.
