Perera on pole, Ayhancan 15th

Lamborghini driver Franck Perera will start the first race of the season from pole position. Rookie Jack Aitken placed second, while Ayhancan Güven placed 15th.

Returning to the calendar after an eight-year break, the qualifying rounds of Oschersleben were very competitive, the winner of the battle was Franck Perera, who reached the pole position by a margin of just 0.018 seconds!

However, the name we can call the star of the day is undoubtedly Jack Aitken; Ferrari driver Emil Frey was placed second in the first weekend of his career.

Leaving the last lap, Mirko Bortolotti was third, and Mick Wishofer, also in his first race, was fourth, so Lamborghini was in the top four with three cars.

Fifth place went to Abt Audi driver Ricardo Feller and sixth place went to Porsche driver Thomas Preining, the interesting thing is that Feller and Preining recorded one to two times!

Two-time DTM Trophy champion Tim Heinemann finished seventh in his first race, while Rene Rast was eighth with his new team, Schubert BMW.

Those who entered the top ten are Ayhancan’s teammates, Laurin Henrich and Kelvin van der Linde.

More disappointed on the day were the other BMW drivers, defending champion Sheldon van der Linde could only finish 19th, while Marco Wittmann finished 21st.

Our representative Ayhancan Güven, who entered the DTM full-time this season after an eye-catching appearance at the Norisring last year, seemed to be very fast in the first minutes of the session, but after accelerating on the track, he dropped back a bit. and finished the qualifying rounds in 15th place.
