Orders for the subsidized electric car Hyundai Ioniq 5 in North Sumatra have increased, this model has become an icon.

TRIBUN-MEDAN.com, MEDAN – Demand for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car in North Sumatra increased by 500 percent, after the launch of the electric vehicle (EV) tax subsidy.

This was delivered directly by Johan as the Branch Manager of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) at the Hyundai Arista Sisingamangaraja dealership in Medan.

Johan said that the increase has occurred since April 1, 2023 after the Government gave a reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) for cars that use electricity by 10 percent or only 1 percent.

“If the orders for Ioniq 5 after having a subsidy from the government increases by almost 500 percent, without a doubt this subsidy will help our sales,” he said, Saturday (27/5/2023).

He said, in April 2023, Ioniq 5 national sales reached nearly two thousand units and North Sumatra alone reached more than 30 units.

“For the Ioniq 5 in North Sumatra in April there were more than 30 units sold, in fact before the subsidy the public interest was also great because yesterday’s availability was low so last month’s sales were less than twenty,” he said.

The type of Ioniq 5 car that is in great demand by the people of North Sumatra is the Ioniq 5 Signature Long Range.

“Of course most of the statues are the taller types with gold color,” he said.

He explained that the VAT discount applied to the purchase of the Ioniq 5 electric car in North Sumatra is IDR 76 million per unit.

“For the subsidy for the purchase of electric cars, this can also be done with a loan or cash purchases, and according to the Government’s instructions, this subsidy will end in December, so the citizens should not miss this opportunity to use this opportunity. of this grant,” he said.

Going forward, to meet public interest, Hyundai Arista Sisingamangaraja Medan dealer will increase the availability of the Ioniq 5 electric car in North Sumatra.

“In the coming days this month and next month the availability of Ioniq 5 cars will be more and can fulfill the public’s desire to switch to electric cars,”

Meanwhile, at the same event, Johan also introduced the Hyundai Creta Dynamic Black Edition which has a range of advanced features for driving safety and comfort.

“Hyundai Creta Dynamic Black Edition has an exterior that is the main type at a lower price, that is on the road Rp. 363 million, a difference of Rp. 17 million from the main type below it,” he said.
