New Cadillac CT6 2024 Special for China Market Leaks

The second generation Cadillac CT6 has been leaked thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Technology of China which revealed the overall exterior design and some of its specifications. The new model, which is aimed at the Chinese market, will serve as Cadillac’s flagship ICE-powered model outside the US.

The exterior of this large sedan has been redesigned to adopt the new Cadillac design. The front end is dominated by a stylish grille loaded with slim LED lights and light units placed vertically in the bumper’s faux intakes.

Its profile takes on a roofline that is narrower towards the rear, with a more rounded face compared to the previous CT6. The rear looks somewhat familiar but the L-shaped taillights are narrower and taller, while the rear glass is taller. The rear trapezoidal exhaust pipes indicate that there is a petrol engine under the hood.

Earlier leaks showed an Escalade-style cockpit on a redesigned dashboard, with the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment located below the same panel. The model is also expected to get more technological features including an updated version of the Super Cruise autonomous system, as well as new cost-effective finishing options.

The second generation Cadillac CT6 is 5223 mm (205.6 inches) long, 1890 mm (74.4 inches) wide and 1473 mm (58 inches) tall, which is the same as the first generation. The 3,109 mm (122.4 in) wheelbase confirms rumors that the new model uses an upgraded version of its GM Omega RWD predecessor.

The new Cadillac will have a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine produced by the SAIC-GM joint venture producing 233 hp (174 kW / 233 PS). Top speed can be reached at 230 km/h (143 mph).
