The upcoming Mitsubishi XFC Concept, a medium SUV, is set to be launched as a production model in August 2023 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Although not yet officially released, Mitsubishi has provided some preliminary information about this new vehicle.
The exterior design of the XFC Concept showcases Mitsubishi’s signature “Dynamic Shield” design, characterized by its distinctive front grille. The car features “L” shaped lights that incorporate Daytime Running Lights (DRL), enhancing its visual appeal.
From the concept version’s exterior appearance, it is evident that this SUV will offer improved handling, thanks to its combination of high ground clearance and large-diameter wheels.
The interior of the car is designed to accommodate five passengers comfortably. The cabin will include an entertainment system centered around a large touchscreen display on the dashboard.
One interesting detail that has been revealed is the inclusion of a premium sound system developed by Yamaha. Known as Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium, this car audio system is a collaboration between Yamaha Corporation and Mitsubishi. Further details regarding the audio system have yet to be released by Mitsubishi.
Under the hood, the XFC is expected to be equipped with a 1,500 cc petrol engine, providing ample power for its size.
To assist drivers in various conditions, the car will offer four driving modes: normal, rain, gravel, and mud. Notably, the inclusion of a wet condition mode is a first for Mitsubishi vehicles, catering to the ASEAN region’s frequent rainfall and flooding.
Mitsubishi has created much anticipation for the launch of the production model of the XFC, and automotive enthusiasts will eagerly await the unveiling of this exciting medium SUV at the GIIAS in August 2023.
