Mercedes EQE SUV presented with prices and delivery dates

Mercedes has launched its first electric sports SUV, the new EQE. We didn’t want to miss the premiere and we bring it to you important things of this important step in the brand’s electrification strategy. Fast sports cars, with the legendary AMG signature and the most affordable model, which is not cheap, but full of comfort, creates great quality and taste.

The interior of this new model is heavily influenced by AMG features, reinforcing the brand's style.  In addition, it has various devices that enhance its identity:

The electric sports SUV from Mercedes-AMG has a capacity of 520 to 1,675 liters.

Following its line of identity, the exterior also lives in it: generous dimensions, a small number of links between the panels, continuous changes and balance of power, which increase its sporty character.  In addition, aerodynamically optimized AMG light alloy wheels, in 21 or 22 inches, also stand out.

Inside, the driver has access to the MBUX Hyperscreen: a large curved glass display.  With flexible software, MBUX fully adapts to the user and provides personalized recommendations for various infotainment, comfort and vehicle performance.






The Dolby Atmos sound format takes the audio experience in the EQE SUV to a new level, along with the Burmester 3D surround sound system.  The current generation of driver assistance systems includes many driver assistance functions.  Standard standard equipment on the EQE SUV includes ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Pack with reversing camera and Speed ​​​​Limit Assist.  Systems status and activity are displayed in a full-screen view on the dashboard.
The "Hello Mercedes" voice assistant has very high conversational and learning capabilities by enabling online services in the Mercedes me app.  Moreover, certain actions can be performed even without the activation voice command "Hello Mercedes".  In addition, it explains the operation of the car and, for example, can help when you are asked to explain how to connect a smartphone via Bluetooth or where to find a first aid kit.

The electric motors on the front and rear axles are permanent excitation synchronous motors.  In a permanent-excitation synchronous motor, the rotor of the AC motor is equipped with permanent magnets and therefore does not need to be de-energized.  The magnet - and thus the rotor - follow the magnetic field rotating in the stator windings.  In the EQE SUV, Mercedes-Benz uses so-called magnet coils to obtain a strong magnetic field.






The motor is called synchronous because the rotor rotates at the same speed as the magnetic field of the stator.  Frequency is adjusted in power inverters according to the speed requirement of the driver.  The advantages of this concept include high energy density, high efficiency and high energy stability.  The motor on the rear axle is very powerful because of its six phases: it has two windings, each with three phases.
Sustained high power and high acceleration without loss of power characterize the quality of the EQE SUV powertrain.  This includes the concept of advanced oils with special features.
Apart from all that, the EQE SUV offers several levels of energy recovery.  In this process, the high-voltage battery is charged by converting the movement of the mechanical circuit into electrical energy when it slows down or breaks down.  The driver can manually choose the level of reduction (D +, D, D-) as well as the function of the free wheel using the paddles behind the steering wheel.  Also available: DAuto.






The ECO assistant also allows for improved recovery depending on the situation;  Greater or lesser severity of deceleration results in greater efficiency of the driving style.  Standard EQE SUV equipment and driver assistance systems include:

With the Mercedes-AMG EQE, charging will not be a problem
The advanced charging system is located on the rear axle of the EQE SUV.  It can be used to charge the battery through a public charging station with single-phase or three-phase alternating current and has an optional charging power of up to 22 kW.

Customers are offered smart home charging stations from national partners in individual markets.  For fast charging with direct current, the model is equipped with a DC fast charging system with a charging power of up to 170 kW.






EQE SUV offers three payment programs - Normal, Home and Work.  In these, parameters such as departure time, climate control and maximum charge can be programmed in advance.
