Many Jeep Drivers on Mount Bromo Participate in Verification – Kabarpas

The implementation of the Work Capability Certificate (PSKK) in 2023 was attended by 80 participants who were Mount Bromo jeep drivers. They were divided into 2 groups, each attended by 40 people. After receiving the material from the speakers, an ability test was conducted which was followed by all the participants of the tourist jeep drivers by riding a hard vehicle towards Mount Bromo with the evaluator.

This activity was attended by the Director of the Professional Institute of International Shipping of Indonesia (LSP-TGI) Dr. Ir Djajadi, Head of Youth Service, Sports and Tourism (Disportar) of Probolinggo Regency Sugeng Wiyanto, Head of Sukapura Bambang Township. Julius Wijanarko, Head of Ngadisari Village and PII management of Probolinggo Regency Branch.

Director of the Indonesian International Travel Professional Certification Institute (LSP-TGI) Dr. Ir Djajadi said that this certification training aims to certify Mount Bromo jeep drivers to provide comfort to tourists who want to go on vacation to Mount Bromo.

“At least this activity can give awareness and knowledge to guides or drivers who want to perform their duties as drivers of tourist jeeps for Mount Bromo,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Probolinggo Regency Disporapar, Sugeng Wiyanto, expressed his gratitude to PII Probolinggo Regency Branch and BNSP for the approval of Mount Bromo tour drivers. This needs to be coordinated with all the tour drivers and Disporapar so that the target is achieved.

“Activities of this type need to be done in a sustainable way to meet the standards of service for tourists, especially Mount Bromo’s tour drivers. Especially now that the tourism sector has started to improve,” he said.

Separately, the Chairman of the PII Probolinggo Regency Branch, Ir Nuriz Zamzami, ST, MT, admitted that he is very grateful because the PII Probolinggo Regency Branch has begun to exist in the community by connecting organizations that could be invited to cooperate, such as BNSP.

“We thank God, the national BNSP through the government budget gives a subsidy to Mount Bromo tour drivers which has been organized by PII Probolinggo Regency Branch and the Office of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Probolinggo Regency. I hope this activity can be useful for organizations that can and can work together,” he said. (Len/Ian).
