Liputan6.com, Jakarta President Joko Widodo instructed the Ministry of Communications and Information to develop the 4G BTS construction project. Jokowi wants the project to be stopped even though the alleged corruption case is being investigated.

At the same time, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Communications and Information Arief Tri Hardiyanto was appointed as the Acting Director General of the Communications and Access to Information Agency (Bakti). Arief’s appointment as Acting CEO is to ensure that the 4G BTS development plan continues.
“Acting Law is currently the Inspector General of the Ministry of Communications and Information. Pak Arif Tri Hardiyanti has always been the Acting Director General,” said Mahfud Md.
Furthermore, the appointment of Arief was based on the fact that none of the candidates for the directors of Bakti passed the appointment. Kominfo has opened the nomination of a candidate for the Director of Bakti Kominfo since mid-April.
There were 23 participants who participated in the open selection. Out of that number, 15 participants passed the rule. After that, 15 participants took part in a paper writing test which resulted in three being eliminated.
Then, 12 participants took an assessment test step. From the selection results of this step, none of the participants passed.
“Half of the journey has passed, when it was narrowed down and evaluated, no one passed the position of Director General of Bakti,” said Mahfud Md.
