Launching Tomorrow! Yaris Cross Ready To Be Toyota’s Seventh SUV

JAKARTA – PT Toyota Astra Motor is preparing to launch a new car this Monday (15/5/2023). It is estimated that the new car is a new SUV or crossover, Toyota Yaris Cross.

Toyota Yaris Cross is believed to be the seventh SUV owned by Toyota. The new vehicle makes Toyota the Japanese automaker that currently sells the most SUVs.

It is known that Toyota already has a variety of SUVs such as Toyota Corolla Cross, Toyota C-HR, Toyota Raize, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Rush and Toyota Land Cruiser.

The number of SUVs from Toyota far exceeds that of any other car manufacturer. Daihatsu, for example, has only two SUVs, namely Daihatsu Terios and Daihatsu Rocky.

Honda, which is currently in third place in the national car market, also has only four SUB cars, namely Honda CR-V, Honda HR-V, Honda WR-V and Honda BR-V.

Mitsubishi also has only three SUVs. The three are Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

Mazda, which often focuses on SUVs, also loses a lot to Toyota. On their official website there are only five SUVs which are Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-30, Mazda CX-5, Mazda CX-8 and Mazda CX-9.

Nissan also has only four SUVs, namely Nissan Magnite, Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Terra and Nissan Kicks e-Power. In fact, Suzuki has only two SUVs, namely the Suzuki Jimny and the Suzuki Grand Vitara.
