Kodiaq 2024, New SUV Revealed

In the upcoming year 2024, Skoda shall introduce the second iteration of the Kodiaq, an SUV model of their production. In the antecedent autumn of 2023, this vehicle shall mark its debut, showcasing not only clandestine Erlkönig images but also the primary sanctioned teasers from Skoda.

Towards the fore of this prosperous Czech SUV, a heightened grille and an apron designed in honeycomb fashion shall be revealed, accompanied by “gills” on the peripheral extremes of the grille. The lower portion of the LED headlights shall be unveiled in a grander manner. The angular and sturdy construction of the model shall be conspicuously evident from the lateral viewpoint, whilst the wheel arches shall remain under tight concealment.

Kodiaq 2024 doesn’t come with a “Modern Solid” design

At the aft portion of the vehicle, the engineers have installed temporary luminaries, whilst the exhaust system is covertly integrated under the apron. The forthcoming Skoda design, “Modern Solid,” will be based on the Vision 7S study with minimal resemblance to Kodiaq’s design, which has already received prior approval.

As previously, the new Skoda Kodiaq 2024 will adopt the Volkswagen Group’s modular transverse matrix (MQB), thereby inheriting the technology of its sibling, the Tiguan. During winter trials in the northernmost regions, we have already captured glimpses of this model.

Technically, Kodiaq shall retain its diesel and petrol units. The petrol options currently comprise of the 1.5-liter TSI with 150 horsepower priced at €43,770, and the 2.0 TSI with 190 horsepower priced at €48,270. Diesel options include a 2.0 TDI with power ratings ranging from 150 to 200 horsepower, with optional all-wheel drive, priced between €46,880 and €51,030. While the RS model is presently unavailable, it is expected to reappear in the upcoming generation. Additionally, a 1.4-liter e-hybrid, based on the Tiguan, is also available for the Kodiaq.

All powertrains shall receive performance and consumption upgrades. Furthermore, the infotainment and driver assistance systems will be updated alongside anticipated price adjustments.

The new generation Kodiaq shall be launched in early 2024, with the current model experiencing mild sales declines in recent years. Nonetheless, the new model, although distinct from the “Modern Solid” style, will possess a more robust aesthetic. With the incorporation of a new plug-in hybrid system, Kodiaq is expected to sustain sales growth.
