Jeep will produce a new compact SUV at the Fiat plant in Betim (MG)

like Car magazine expected, Jeep will produce in Brazil a new compact suv. It’s about avenger, a model that debuted at the end of 2022 in Europe in a 100% electric version – is the brand’s first battery-powered SUV. The news is that the automaker will produce a model in Brazil between 2025 and 2026. The SUV will be manufactured at the Fiat factory in Betim (MG).

According to the report car secretsStellantis started quoting sellers in March this year to produce Jeep Avenger at the group’s factory. The plan is to put the SUV aside New Fiat Argo (which will be an SUV). All will use the original PSA Peugeot Citroën CMP platform. It’s basically the same as Citroen C3. Therefore, “Project 516”, as it is called internally, is in the quotation phase with sellers.



Visually, the Avenger has, at first, the traditional seven-slot grille, common to all Jeep vehicles. LED-lit rectangular headlights, two-tone paintwork and 18-inch alloy wheels complete the main details of the new SUV. The headlights are rectangular in shape and the rear door handles are recessed into the column.

Jeep Avenger is smaller than Renegade

In measurements, its height is 4.08 meters. The result: 16 centimeters smaller than the Renegade brother. In this way, you can see that the new Jeep is close in size to its cousin Citroën C3. Moreover, it is 1.78 m wide, 1.53 m long and has a wheelbase of 2.56 m. In the trunk, it fits 380 liters.

Inside, air vents run from one end of the panel to the other. As in the Citroen C3 and Peugeot 208, the Avenger has two 10.25-inch screens. One for the instrument panel and the other, therefore, for the multimedia center. It has wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms.

In the Jeep Avenger, as well as in the Fiat Argo, there will be combustion and hybrid engines. The first of them, according to Autos Segredos, is the 1.0 Turbo Flex T200. In hybrid versions, therefore, Jeep will offer a 1.0 turbo flex T220 that will work with a 100V electric. Both, in conjunction with the CVT exchange.
