Hyundai will sell electric cars to the government for up to three quarters of a billion crowns

Zdopravy.cz came with the information that the Ministry of Finance concluded system contracts with the car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Czech s.r.o. for the supply of hundreds of electric cars to various government institutions and ministries. There are also four municipal authorities among the users. The activity was preceded by a market consultation, where car manufacturers Škoda Auto, Ford and Renault participated together with the winner. Ratings were most influenced by price (90%), followed by range (7%) and the presence of three installments (3%). The entire program, in which the government will purchase up to 711 Hyundai Kona Electric vehicles, should fulfill the National Clean Mobility Initiative.

The tender was divided into two rounds, in category 1 EV, five-seater cars and at least four-door cars with an electric output of at least 130 hp, a torque of at least 240 Nm, a range of at least 270 km, a. a battery with a minimum capacity of 35 kWh and a trunk volume of 300 l or more was required. Additionally, a long list of safety and comfort equipment was required, as specified in the contract. Hyundai Kona Eco fully met the requirements.

For Class 2 EV, a minimum power of 284 hp/300 Nm, a range of at least 380 km, a battery with at least 60 kWh and a luggage compartment with a volume of 330 liters. More details are required, incl. other data, can again be read directly into the contract. Again, without a single exception, the Hyundai Kona offered, this time in the Power version. The equipment, as in the past, will be collected individually at the request of the Ministry.

The Ministry did not publish the final price of private cars, we only know the value of the entire contract – 736 million crowns without VAT. Only the official list prices of both selected models are part of the deals. In terms of 1 EV, i.e. Hyundai Kona Eco, it is CZK 705,234.41 without VAT + fire extinguisher “suitable for extinguishing lithium battery fires in the initial stage” for CZK 737.19 without VAT, reflective vests for all passengers for 289 VAT 6Z2. Service services for CZK 94,925.62 without VAT and Other services for CZK 62,285.95 without VAT, i.e. a total of CZK 863,472.73 without VAT. In addition, an optional blue or black color instead of the usual white or red for CZK 11,871.90 without VAT.

Hyundai Kona Power based on 2 EV was listed at a list price of CZK 826,557.02 without VAT and the same surcharge as in the previous case, but also with a 12V socket in the luggage compartment for CZK 1,500 especially without VAT. So a total of CZK 986,295.04 without VAT and optional colors as in the first case. Until now, most of the electric vehicles will be taken by the Railway Administration, a total of 400. The other 50 will be taken by the Ministry of Defense, 40 will go to the Directorate of Roads and Highways, and the fact that all three entities mentioned have. possibility to increase the number of cars taken up to five.
