Aspark Owl completed the distance of 200 meters at an average speed of 309.02 km/h and covered the distance of 400 meters at an average speed of 318.85 km/h. This time record makes the Aspark Owl one of the fastest electric cars besides the Croatian Rimac Nevera.
The Rimac Nevera is still the fastest electric car in the world for the quarter mile, with a time of 8.582 seconds. This car also holds the record for the highest speed achieved by an electric car, which is 258 miles per hour or 415 kilometers per hour.
The Japanese aircraft set a record at the Straightliners event at Elvington airfield in Yorkshire, which was confirmed by the British Aviation Association. This is the first time that Bundi has appeared before the European public after the Salon Prive event earlier this year.
“It is a great honor for Aspark to be the first to announce this important step. We can produce electric cars with high performance in a short time,” said Aspark CEO Mansanori Yoshida quoted from the Autocar page, Thursday (25/5/2023).
Aspark also claims that The Owl is the fastest car in the world, with a record 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) run of 1.72 seconds at the Misano Circuit. This car has 1985 bhp of power derived from four electric motors, the power is almost twice the power of a Formula 1 car.
In fact the Aspark Owl can go even faster, aiming for 0-60 miles per hour in less than 1.7 seconds. This makes it the world’s fastest roadster to 60 miles per hour, shaving 0.6 seconds off the Tesla Model S’s 0-60 time.
