Honda e:Ny1 is an electric SUV [video]

Within the year, Honda will launch its first electric SUV for Europe – It will have a range of up to 412 km and a power of 204 hp – It is the main rival of the Jeep Avenger.

E:Ny1 (new name) has no design relation to Honda’s smallest electric car (e). As you can see its design directs us directly to that of the HR-V with a smaller and equally attractive appearance.

At the front, a closed grille and a removable cover for the charging port stand. The headlights are as small as the rear ones, where there is also the Honda name written in holographic. In general, it’s a smaller size and a more sophisticated aura compared to the more “outdoorsy” ones. Jeep Avenger.

Inside we see an all-new layout with a large 15.1-inch touchscreen, the largest we’ve seen so far in a Honda. There are all the possibilities of connection, wireless charging point, etc.

The basis of the e:Ny1 is the new e:N Architecture F platform. The front wheels are driven exclusively by an electric motor with a power of 204 hp and a torque of 310 Nm. The large 68.8 kWh battery offers a range of 412 km with DC fast charging in just 45 minutes to charge the battery from 10-80%.

We’ll have more to say about the all-new Honda e:Ny1 in a few months when the Japanese will also release more information. Within that year Honda will launch a new CR-V that will also have a plug-in version, along with a new ZR-V as well.
