‘It will be in the shop,’ the dealer admits of the famous luxury brand as he reveals the top cars that are most likely to break down.

The CAR dealer has been open about many car models and claims to know their actual reliability ratings.

In TikTok, a car salesman advised buyers what types of luxury cars he would avoid.

“We’re going to cover a lot of things wrong with different types of cars,” TikTok car dealer Cleve (@clevejdm), said in post in 2021.

Cleve, a GMC salesman at the time, walked through the car dealership and revealed his thoughts on several popular makes and models.

First, he called Land Rover’s Range Rover “a luxury icon.”

But he wasn’t sold on the car’s reliability.

“This car will sit in the shop getting more engine work done than (it will) in your two hands on the wheel,” Cleve said.

“That’s a promise.”

Land Rover did not immediately respond to US newspaper The Sun when reached for comment.

Range Rover’s brand design has gone through a series of changes since TikTok.

The $100,000-plus Range Rover updated its exterior styling and engine for the 2022 model year.

However, the previous model had a history of reliability issues.

Clive targeted several other popular car brands.

“They say if you want to keep a mechanic shop open, buy a Ford truck,” he insisted.

He was filming a series of Ford Super Duty trucks.

He claimed GMC trucks often have problems with cylinder heads and other engine components.

“This is the most reliable quarter-ton truck on the market,” Clive claimed as he photographed the mid-size Toyota Tacoma.

But he said drivers will “pay more for important features that came out 15 years ago.”

He also said Toyota’s full-size Tundra trucks are also outdated.

Then he switched to Chevy, saying its sedans are “very solid cars.”

However, he said drivers will see quality issues if they keep the cars for a long time.

“Once you start going past the 100,000-mile mark, you’re just going to start seeing things fall apart,” he said.

The US Sun contacted the TikToker for comment.
