A great investment and a source of great pride for Nissan, the three-liter turbo V6 engine that powers the Nissan Z really delivers. This engine has the internal name of VR30DDTT and got a transparent version to show the inner workings.

  • For the development of this engine, the manufacturer scrapped the VR30DDTT parts and replaced them with transparent resin;
  • Along with that, the team also painted some elements and painted others to make them more visible;
  • In the video, the top end of the engine is seen in operation. It features timing chain rotation and a camshaft that drives the valves;
  • In addition, you can also see that the pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft are chromed.

This engine already powers several cars, such as the Infiniti Q50, which was the first to have this model. Then the Q50 also received the VR30DDTT. In the flagship that is the Nissan Z, the engine is capable of producing 400 hp at 6,400 rpm and 48.3 kgfm from 1,600 to 5,200 rpm.

The new Z from the manufacturer is offered with a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic. The 2023 version of the Nissan Z is priced starting at around US$ 42,000 (about R$ 211,000 in direct conversion). A destination fee also applies and costs $1,095 (R$5,514) for any exchange. The top spec Proto Spec costs US$56,380 (R$28,394).
