Even without the talent of the Palio, the Fiat Argo managed to find its place in the sun. New to the hatch is a CVT-type automatic transmission.
There was a time when Fiat was a leader in passenger cars, with models like the Uno and Palio. Fiat Argo was launched in 2017 with the mission to replace Palio and Punto immediately. Its lines anticipated the brand’s new design, but it could not bring Fiat back into the top tier of hatchbacks. But it’s not true, the car did badly: the brand celebrates 400,000 cars sold since then!

Designed and manufactured in Brazil, the car was designed to meet the needs of Latin American consumers. In addition to its home country, Argo is sold in 10 other South American countries.
With a design that seeks to combine Italian elegance with an urban touch, Argo has received updates over time, including new versions, colors and technology. In fact, it lost offerings, such as the impressive HGT automatic with the 1.8 engine, to better meet customer demands. A recent addition was a seven-speed CVT automatic transmission, available on certain versions.
Available in Park and Trekking versions, the CVT gearbox is mated to the 107 hp Firefly 1.3 engine. According to the brand, with a consumption of up to 13.9 km / l, it has become one of the most economical cars in the segment.
This season, Fiat Argo is the fifth best-selling car in the country in 2023 with more than 20,500 registrations in the year to April. In the fourth month of 2023, Argo also found its place in the top 5 best-seller in Brazil, with 5,475 units sold.
“Launched six years ago, it is part of the rebranding process and plays the role of successor to the model very well”, celebrates Herlander Zola, senior vice president of Fiat South America.
