Grand prize winner announced: Women say ‘Nissan X-Trail’

WWCOTY, the only international award created by female motoring journalists, praised the new X-Trail for its spaciousness, ease of driving, outstanding performance and e-POWER powertrain system.

The only one in the SUV segment with seven seats

Built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, the new X-Trail offers the highest performance of an electric vehicle with advanced technology thanks to e-POWER technology and the e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel drive system.

The new X-Trail is the perfect choice for extended family or days out with friends. The X-Trail, which can be offered as a five- or seven-seater, is also unique and unique in its segment as a seven-seater electric SUV.

e-POWER is Nissan’s innovative system that makes it possible to drive an electric car without the need for recharging. The unique e-POWER system of the new X-Trail consists of a gasoline engine with a variable compression ratio, a power generator, an inverter and a 150 kW front motor connected to a high-output battery and drive train. This unique power flow means that the wheels are driven solely by the electric motor. This means an instant, linear response to the accelerator pedal.

The X-Trail is one of Nissan’s most successful vehicles in the world, sold in more than 100 markets, and has been accompanying family events for over 20 years. The fourth generation X-Trail draws on the deep DNA known for all three generations predecessors of the X-Trail.

As a result of being awarded the Best Large SUV award, the Nissan X-Trail has been chosen as the winner of WWCOTY’s top award, Car of the Year 2023, which will be announced on March 8.
