Jakarta – There are many new cars that will be unveiled at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023, next August.
The GIAS Series is back this year. The implementation will take place in four major cities, which are Tangerang, Surabaya, Semarang and Bandung.
The first series of GIIAS 2023 will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, South Tangerang, on August 10-20.
A host of automotive brands in the passenger and commercial vehicle segments are set to grace this world-class automotive show.
Interestingly, at this year’s GIIAS there were several new car brands from China that participated. Each of these brands made their debut in Indonesia.
Not only new brands, GIIAS 2023 in Tangerang will also be colored by the presence of new cars from several famous car manufacturers in the country.
This was confirmed directly by Rizwan Alamsjah, Chairman III and Chairman of Gaikindo Exhibition Organizers.
“The enthusiasm of the participants was amazing, this year’s GIIAS was attended by more brands, and a bigger area. A few leaks, the news is that there are many new car explosions that will be presented at this year’s GIAS,” Rizwan said in Jakarta, Wednesday (24 /5/2023).
Regarding the new types of vehicles that will be launched at GIIAS 2023, they have not been presented in detail.
Apart from many new cars, it is estimated that this year’s GIIAS will be enlivened by world premieres from various car brands. But again, the model of the car is still a secret.
“I don’t know to tell the truth, because of their surprise. There will definitely be a world premiere,” said Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of Gaikindo.
GIAS Becomes the Place to Introduce New Cars
In the past eight years, GIIAS has been the launch event for more than 250 automotive product introductions, including nine world-class vehicles.
GIAS has also introduced future automotive technology through the presence of more than 60 concept vehicles.
This year’s GIIAS was attended by more than 30 brands, starting from Brand Holder Agents (APM) for passenger cars, namely; Audi, BMW, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, DFSK, Haval, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedez-Bens, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Ora, Porsche, Subaru, Suzuki, Tank, Toyota , VW, and Wuling.
Meanwhile, from commercial vehicles, there are Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Toyota Commercial, and UD Trucks. Three car brands are also present at GIIAS 2023, namely Adiputro, Laksana and Tentrem.
In addition, 14 APM motorcycles were also present, such as Astra Honda Motor, Aprilia, Benelli, Exotic, Harley Davidson, Ion Mobility, Keeway, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Enfield, Segway, Vespa.
