Ford quietly introduced the new Apple CarPlay

Ford’s luxury brand Nautilus could be the first car to launch with the new Apple CarPlay. At least, that’s what it seems from the pictures showing the interior of the car released by the company itself. In this sense, it seems possible to see a multimedia center in 2022 WWDC, which is very reminiscent of what the company has to offer.

At the time, the Cupertino giant had claimed that the devices would be available in cars starting this year. The Nautilus now has a “redesigned digital experience” with a screen that wraps around most of the car’s interior as well as a multimedia center in the middle.

This look is similar to the one Apple introduced in June last year. In this regard, a Ford spokesperson described this similarity as “uncanny”. However, he did not discuss the issue further. Likewise, Apple has not confirmed if this is the same device.

This large screen is packed with special lighting features and promises to give the driver a more diverse solution. Functions such as massage seats also provide access to the driver, as well as the ability to select selected digital fragrances.

In any case, the company’s current plans seem to be focused on making proprietary chips. Doug Field is now in charge and says about the company’s opinion: “It comes as a high-performance central device that we control software and also brings our infotainment and autonomy software in two modules that are internally controlled for body design and software.”
