THE biggest car used in a James Bond film has finally been legalized after the owner fitted it with new features.

The Jaguar C-X75 rose to fame when it appeared in the hit ‘Spectre’ in 2015.

Now, almost a decade later the spectacular car is finally legal and will make its public debut in April at Bicester Heritage’s Scramble event.

The project was commissioned by a private client and required more than just slapping number plates on it.

The stunt cars are of course the real stars

It had to be fitted with E-marked glass, a quiet exhaust fitted with catalytic converters and real wing mirrors to replace the foam panels used in the film’s production, according to reports in Motor vehicle.

Considering it was ever made to be seen on the big screen, the fit and finish couldn’t be better.

To fix this, the gaps in the car panels were adjusted and the quick release latches used for easy access during filming were removed.

The iconic car was restored and repainted in the same metallic orange as seen in the film.

Finally, the dampers and ride height were slightly modified under the careful supervision of the director of engineering, Adam Donfrasceso.

Adam said: “Stunning cars are of course the real stars, bringing to life legendary moments that stay with us as car enthusiasts.

“So very few survived the rigors of filming (whose) preservation was important when it came to the rules, and it’s great that we can reveal it to avid Scramblers.”

The Jaguar C-X75 was launched in 2010 as a concept car but was later discontinued in the following years.

Jaguar’s global brand director at the time Adrian Hallmark said it was “bad timing” to launch the £1m supercar, amid global austerity.

The unnamed collector bought the classic car designed by Ian Callum and commissioned his unnamed design consultant to convert it for road use.

Rich car enthusiasts will have to pay as much as £2.5 million to buy the extremely rare engine.

It comes after Jonothan Ross revealed he has a £140,000 Jaguar in his luxury car collection.
