The third car in Citroën’s C-Cubed Program called Project CC22 will be a sedan with fast lines. The premiere will be in mid-2024.
Like its C3 and C3 Aircross siblings, the Citroen C3X will be manufactured in Porto Real (RJ). It will have the same CMP platform as its siblings, but will have a more refined finish.
This series realized that it will have lines inspired by the C4X presented in Europe at the end of 2022. Like the C4X, the C3X will combine the lines of the sedan with a quick recovery, mainly due to the fall of the “C” series.
However, unlike the Fiat Fastback, the trunk lid of the C3X will open like a regular sedan. On the front, the lines will follow the visual identity of the brand seen on the C4X itself. The new product will be sold as a sedan and will compete in size and interior space with the Virtus.
The Citroen C3X will have the same 2.67 wheel base as the C3 Aircross. It will be the largest model in the C-Cubed Program.
C3X engines
In entry-level versions, the C3X will have a 1.0 Turbo Flex T200 engine with 125 hp. Power with gasoline and 130 hp with ethanol. Torque no matter what oil it will always be 20.4 kgfm. The swap will be a CVT simulating seven virtual gears.
Like the Fiat Fastback, the C3X should be available with a 1.3 Turbo Flex T270 engine with a power of 180 hp with gasoline and 185 hp with ethanol. A torque of 27.5 kgfm is standard in both oils. It will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
