JAKARTA – American car company, General Motors, has increased the range of its electric pickup truck, Chevrolet Silverado EV 2024.
Reporting from the insideEV page, Friday, May 19, Chevy is implementing a major development by increasing its mileage to 724 kilometers per charge according to EPA calculations.
This is higher compared to rivals such as the Rivian R1T with a powerful battery that can cover a distance of 527 km and the top variant of the Ford F-150 Lightning 515 km.
Not only that, the Chevrolet Silverado has a charging capacity of 350 kW which is more impressive compared to the Ford F-150 Lightning Pro Extended Range which charges 155 kW faster.
However, the manufacturer also announced that the lowest version Silverado EV also gets an impressive range of 563 km on a single charge.
Apart from having an impressive mileage battery, the Chevrolet Silverado EV 2024 also packs an all-wheel drive electric motor that can produce 510 hp and 833 Nm.
Although prices have not been released, GM will offer the 2024 Silverado EV Work Truck with a standard battery for US$39,900 or around Rp.595.9 million. It’s possible that the Silverado EV with the longest range has a higher price.
