Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray “Stealth” System

Chevrolet will present on January 17 details on the Corvette E-Ray, the first hybrid version in the history of the model.

The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray will certainly be a milestone in the model’s seventy-year history. Keeping in mind the modern trends in the Automotive Industry, the people of Chevrolet are changing and will soon present a version of Corvette which has a hybrid engine layout.

THE Corvette E-Ray, as it is called, it will be technologically advanced and have an efficient engine, in terms of high power and fuel economy. At the moment, no official figures have been announced about these, but the information (not confirmed by the company) indicates that the hybrid system will have a higher combined power. 608 horsepower and peak torque included 678 Nm.

THE Chevrolet keeps a “quiet fish” about everything related to the new style. However, it recently published on its official social network account a short video and information about the existence of the system “The Secret Way” inside the car. In fact, in this we see one of the prototypes used for the development of this version, moving both on the surface of the snow and in the city.

It’s not about the thing that makes it … invisible to the radar but about the ability of the car to start and move for a certain distance just like electricity. After being selected by the guide, is turned off 6.2 liter V8. So, by not making noise under these conditions, the Corvette E-Ray will go… unnoticed.

Chevrolet will officially announce details about the new model on January 17. From then on, we will know more about the car and the available hybrid system configuration.
