Liputan6.com, New York – Empire State Building or the famous Empire State Building in New York, United States (USA) burning green to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2023 celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
A green curtain is visible on the 102-story skyscraper that is usually closed to the public after midnight.
“Shine to green tonight in honor of Eid al-Fitr,” wrote the Empire State Building’s official account, @EmpireStateBldg.
Skyscraper has continued that tradition for several years. Those are annual lights, said a spokeswoman for the Empire State Building.

The Empire State Building is famous for lighting certain colors for certain religious holidays. For example, the building once featured pastel colors for Easter, blue and white for Hanukkah, and red and green for Christmas. Times of KhaleejTuesday (25/4/2023).
The building receives hundreds of requests every year to have light of a certain color for various purposes and events. Although the building does not publicize its voting or selection process for applications, the Empire State Building does not accept applications for political campaigns, religious figures and organizations or private events.
