Cadillac now offers the Lyriq for lease in Germany

The Cadillac Lyriq went on sale at a fixed price in this country in May. The lease offer is now following with a delay of only a few weeks. As the manufacturer reports, the luxury and sports versions of the Cadillac Lyriq are available from 750 euros net per month for a lease period of 48 months and 15,000 kilometers per year with a deposit of 10,000 euros. The rate covers the maintenance of the vehicle for the duration of the lease.

In addition, Cadillac Europe announces that it will continue to expand its network of service branches. The new points of contact are Munich (Geigercars), Berlin (Autohaus Kramm), and the greater Frankfurt area (Autohaus Brass). Test drives are possible at Motorworld in Berlin, Cologne and Munich.

General Motors had completely disappeared from Europe for a few years. But the American manufacturer wants to return with electric cars. The first target market is Switzerland. The group returned there in autumn 2023 – also with a Cadillac Lyriq. Preparations for a new beginning in Europe have been underway since 2021. The first visible step took place in November 2022 when Jaclyn McQuaid was appointed President and CEO of GM Europe and opened an office in Zurich. After Switzerland, further payments followed in Sweden and France in recent months. Now Germany has been added as the most important European market.

The Lyriq is intended to compete in the premium segment – for example with the Audi Q8 e-tron or the Mercedes-Benz EQE. The model has been manufactured in Springhill in the US state of Tennessee since the summer of 2022. As in all European markets, the E-SUV is also offered through direct sales in Germany. Delivery is scheduled to begin in July or August.

Briefly about the Lyriq itself: The first electric car is Cadillac’s first model based on General Motors’ Ultium platform. With a length of five meters and 2.8 tons, it is a full-size SUV with crossover design elements. Other dimensions: width 2.21 meters, height 1.62 meters and wheelbase 3.09 meters.

The Lyriq comes as rear-wheel drive with 253 kW of power and 440 Nm of torque or as all-wheel drive with 388 kW and 610 Nm. The race from 0 to 100 km / h should be done in 5.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 210 km / h. The battery on board, with twelve modules, has a capacity of 102 kWh up to 530 km WLTP. The specified cell chemistry is nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminum (NCMA), and the charging power is 190 kW DC and up to 22 kW AC. The charging port is on the left side of the car. The maximum trailer load is 1.6 tons and the turning circle is 12.1 meters.
