BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in 2024 with Reiterberger, Mikhalchik and Guintoli

Markus Reiterberger, Ilya Mikhalchik and Sylvain Guintoli will form the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in 2024. BMW Motorrad Motorsport announced this news on Saturday through an official press release.

BMW Motorrad Motorsport has chosen to continue its activities in the FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) in 2024. Markus Reiterberger (GER) and Ilya Mikhalchik (UKR) remain loyal to the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team and will be joined next season by Sylvain Guintoli , an experienced Frenchman who won the world title in the FIM Superbike World Championship in 2014 and more recently ( 2021). ) became world champion in the FIM EWC.

Reiterberger and Mikhalchik have been part of the BMW Motorrad Motorsport FIM EWC project since the beginning and will enter their fifth season with team manager Werner Daemen’s BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in 2024. The 41-year-old Guintoli is the newest addition to the family of BMW Motorrad is one of the most experienced international riders in short-circuit and endurance racing. In addition to his world titles, the Frenchman has many victories at World Cup level to his name.

BMW Motorsport Director Marc Bongers: “After a very successful 2023 season, with podium finishes in all three 24-hour races and third place in the overall standings of the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, we are now ready to compete for the title next year. Together with Markus and Ilya we have two proven regular riders in the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team who have been part of the project from the first development phase and have played an important role in the success achieved so far. Sylvain is the newest addition. Few buyers have much experience on international stage and, very importantly, in the FIM EWC. Due to his role in the BMW Motorrad Motorsport Test Team, he also knows all the details of the BMW M 1000 RR. We look forward to 2024! At the same time, we thank Jérémy Guarnoni, who has A great job as a regular driver in the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team for two years, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

The 2024 FIM EWC season again has four race weekends, starting with the famous Le Mans 24H Moto which will take place on the weekend of April 18 to 21.
