BMW iX Electric Car Becomes Official Car of ASEAN Summit

Secretary of the Secretariat of the Ministry of State Setya Utama also expressed his gratitude to BMW Indonesia for supporting the holding of the ASEAN Summit.

“We are delighted to be able to offer an environmentally friendly driving experience to all ASEAN leaders with the BMW iX. complete electricity, this car also uses recycled materials and renewable energy in its production process,” Setya said.

The BMW iX itself is the result of the BMW Group’s new technology in presenting innovations related to electric vehicles and digitalization. In Indonesia, the model variant launched in Indonesia is the BMW iX xDrive40, which has an output of more than 326 hp. The average power consumption of the BMW iX xDrive40 in the WLTP cycle is less than 20 kWh per 100 km.

The new charging technology in the BMW iX also enables fast DC (direct) charging with very high charging power. The BMW iX xDrive40 can charge a high-voltage battery up to 200 kW. This means that 10 minutes of charging can provide enough energy to extend the range by more than 90 km. The high-voltage battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in less than 34 minutes.
